I graduated from Kent State University in 1987 with a degree in Communications. In 2010, I founded and became the Executive Director of the Kent Community TimeBank (KCTB). By 2014, KCTB had grown to over 500 members and was drawing people from surrounding counties. I then founded and became the Executive Director of the Crooked River Alliance of TimeBanks, Inc. (CRAT). By building Crooked River Alliance of TimeBanks, the timebank community is strengthened by numbers and area timebanks are able to utilize the resources within the framework of CRAT.
In 2020, I stepped down from coordinating both KCTB and CRAT but continued to help TimeBanks.Org in their mission to "move the movement". I have since retired from that position but remain an active member of my local timebank.
I look forward to being in the TimeForAll timebank because this very model of timebanking can prove to us that we are "walking the talk". It is important for the timebank leaders, coordinators, facilitators and all other staff to be rewarded for their very time. By doing that, we open ourselves up to our new economy striving to better our timebanks and, perhaps, the movement as a whole.
