I am the Founder/Coordinator of the CoThrive Timebank in Northwest Indiana, located in Valparaiso, IN, approximately 1 hour from Chicago.
Currently, I am an unpaid volunteer coordinator with an aim toward developing some sort of social enterprise that can support me and/or someone else as a paid staff member. I do social media consulting and training for paid work outside the timebank and in limited quantities within the timebank as well. The skills I most enjoy sharing with timebank members include: reiki, massage, leading wild edible hikes and mushroom forays, and permaculture design services. I am currently working on a Permaculture Design Certificate through the Regenerative Leadership Institute. I am grateful for this timebank and am looking for ways I can contribute. I feel like such a beginner at this!
I have co-authored several books, the latest was "Healthy, Abundant and Wise"; my chapter is called Bear Medicine: Neighbors Helping Neighbors and is about timebanking. I also host a podcast about environmental issues in my area called 219 GreenConnect; the podcast won a Golden Innovator award from Conscious Evolutionaries Chicagoland in 2015, presented by author and futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard.
