Topic:  The Unconference

Don't you wish you could have some time to share your timebanking work and passions face to face with coordinators and members of other timebanks? Seek out new and helpful information? Explore ways to work on challenges you’ve been facing? Get jazzed all over again about the transformational possibilities of timebanking? If so, then a timebanking unconference in your region may be just what you need.

An unconference has the same purposes as a regular conference, but unlike a regular conference, it is created on the day by the people who are present. All participants are potential presenters. Everyone’s voice counts. And anyone can put an idea forward to share.

This call aims to get you on track for pulling an unconference together in your own region in 2019. The call will start out by covering the elements of a successful unconference. We will then share together some of the variations in format that callers may have experienced before moving into a shared discussion on what it takes to prepare for a great unconference experience for all. This call is aimed at supporting you in moving forward to set up the regional unconference that you will always be glad you did.
